St. Petersburg Performing & Folk Ensemble
The St. Petersburg Performing & Folk Ensemble (SPPFE) is a performing group whose members are dedicated to bringing dance to the community through touring Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Homes, and Condominium Associations. In addition, the ensemble also performs at the St. Petersburg International Folk Festival (SPIFFS), Church Festivals, Octoberfests, First Night, and other City Performances.
Participation in the St. Petersburg Performing & Folk Ensemble is by audition. All ABA students in Ballet II and up are eligible to audition. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn solos, pas de deux, pas de trois, and small group dances choreographed specifically to be performed in the community. Dancers who are part of SPPFE must commit to Friday night Character class and Friday night rehearsals. Please note, dancers registered for the Character I class will be involved in the SPIFFS (Folk Fair) performances in October.
If you are interested in participating in the St. Petersburg Performing & Folk Ensemble please attend our upcoming audition Saturday, September 18th at 4:00 PM.
