Summer Intensive Workshops

Our Summer Intensive Workshops are held throughout the summer at our Studios located on the ArtsXchange Campus of the Warehouse Arts District at 515 22nd Street S., Suite C2, St. Petersburg, FL  33712.

Intensive #1: Pre-Ballet & Dance Fundamentals

This Intensive is for young dancers from ages 6-10 who have no experience with formal ballet training or up to two years of basic one class a week. The week has a focus on a specific ballet or culture. Classes include: ballet, character, jazz, acting, performance/choreography and arts & crafts. Classes begin at 9:00 am and finish at 4:00pm. The week ends with an in-studio performance for parents, siblings, friends and families.

Intensive #2: Ballet IA & 1B

This Intensive is for young dancers from 8-12 years old who have completed a minimum of two years of ballet training.   Students from other dance programs are welcome, but must schedule an audition class before May 3, 2025 in order to be considered for acceptance into the program. Classes begin at 9:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm. Classes include: ballet, pointe (Ballet IB only and with teacher's permission), character, contemporary, jazz, modern, variations, acting, dance history and stretch and strengthen. The three weeks finishes with an in-studio performance for parents, siblings, friends and families on Friday, July 27, 2025.

Intensive #3 Ballet II & III-IV

This Intensive is for dancers from 11-18 years old who are Intermediate/Advanced dancers. Students from other dance programs are welcome, but must schedule an audition class before May 3, 2025 in order to be considered for acceptance into the program. Classes begin at 9:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm. Classes include: ballet, pointe, character, contemporary, jazz, modern, variations, acting, dance history, stretch and strengthen and Pilates. The curriculum also includes and introduction to Allegra Kent's water exercises and a visit to a local museum that ties in to a choreographic project. The four weeks finishes with an in-studio performance for parents, siblings, friends and families on Friday, August 1, 2025.
